Support Groups

St Patrick's College encourages the involvement of its community through a variety of support groups. These groups support the varied aspects of College life. Parents are invited to participate in the following groups:

Cultural Support Group

The Cultural Support Group assists and supports the Musical, Arts Evening, Showcase and Open Day, amongst other cultural events.

Sport Support Group

The St Patrick's College Sports Support Group is an energetic, voluntary group, that is open to all parents and friends who have an interest in sport and supporting young sportsmen. The group provides ongoing support to the College sports program in the form of community involvement and fundraising, for the benefit and enjoyment of the current and future young men of St Patrick's College. The Sport Support Group is involved in community activities such as assisting with the College socials, BBQ's at Curlew Park and social events such as trivia nights.

Meetings are held once a month to discuss current sporting and fundraising events and make decisions regarding contributions to the College sporting program.

Seating: St Patricks College Sport Support Group Long Table Lunch will be presented in the traditional long table-to-table sequential seating style. Bookings can be made individually online. If you would like to sit with a specific group of people, we suggest for groups of any size, small or large, to nominate one person as Table Captain and select that Table Captain in your booking options to ensure you will be seated together. Otherwise please indicate a Year Level in your booking options and you will be seated alongside others in that Year Level. Table allocations will be notified on the day.

Beverages: A Bar with EFTPOS facilities will operate on the day. No BYO beverage allowed, including non-alcoholic


The St Patrick's College Sport Support Committee is a parent led group that raises funds for the sports programme at the College.The funds raised by the SSG have been used over the years to assist in the development of Curlew Park but more recently in assisting in the development of coaching programs, assisting coaches attending courses, subsidising sports tour costs and also providing support to students who may not necessarily be able to afford to participate in sports.



Our St Patrick's College Canteen relies on the assistance of volunteers to provide a service to our young men five days a week. If you would like to volunteer please contact our Canteen Convener, Mrs Demetria Karydas on 3631 9050 or email dkarydas@stpatricks.qld.edu.au.

All volunteers assisting in our canteen are required to complete the online Brisbane Catholic Education Child Protection Course by CLICKING HERE.

Cricket Support Group

The Cricket Support Group supports the College's Cricket activities by assisting in the organisation of events, raising funds for further Cricket program development and maintaining strong parent support for the cricketers. This group meets the first Tuesday of each month in the Morrissey Staff room.
